Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of tightly packed Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup of water

Directions:

  1. In a food processor, add all ingredients and blend until smooth, scraping the side with a spatula to incorporate.
  2. Use as a 1:1 substitute to sugar in baking; however, keep in mind that it will be slightly less sweet, and it may be moist and have a cake texture rather than chewy texture.
  3. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
