  • 1 raw beet, quartered
  • 1/2 lemon or orange, rind removed
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ginger root


  1. Put all ingredients through a juicer (I use a high-speed blender) and drink 30 minutes before a run or workout. Be careful not to drink it on an empty stomach as beets are acidic and can make you feel nauseous.
